The MLB The Show 22 competitive esports season begins with the Summer Circuit.

With an updated format, a new platform to play on, and more chances to win, there’s more reason than ever to test your skills and show off your Diamond Dynasty team. Summer Circuit gives eligible* players a chance to win millions of StubsMTa share of the $25,000 prize pool, autographed Shohei Ohtani merchandise, and more.

The multi-platform competitive MLB The Show 22 summer circuit is available for ages 13 and up in the United States and Canada, on all PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch platforms. This year, the summer circuit has four open qualifications. The top 16 qualified players from each qualifier will later advance to the Grand Finals for a total of $25,000 in cash prizes and more.

Those who do not place in the top 16 on their first appearance can try again in any of the remaining playoffs.

Program:

  • Qualifier 1: May 21-22
  • Qualifier 2: May 28-29
  • Qualifier 3: June 4-5
  • Qualifier 4: June 11-12
  • Finals: June 18-19

On the first day of each Summer Circuit Qualifier, all players will compete in an open ladder format. Competitors can queue anytime within an eight-hour window, but must complete six three-set matches for their score to count. Each win earns a player one point and each loss loses a player one point. The top 64 players (plus ties) will advance to day two.

On day two, the top 64 players (plus ties) will face off in a knockout bracket playing nine-set matches. Each player who reaches Day 2 will receive at least 11,000 MLB The Show Stubs.

Open Qualification Pricing:

  • 1st place: 1,050,000 MLB The Show 22 Stubs
  • 2nd Place: 600,000 MLB The Show 22 Stubs
  • 3rd – 4th place: 300,000 MLB The Show 22 Stubs
  • 5th-8th place: 150,000 MLB The Show 22 Stubs
  • 9th to 16th place: 67,500 MLB The Show 22 Stubs
  • 17th – 32nd place: 24,000 MLB The Show 22 Stubs
  • 33rd – 64th place: 11,000 MLB The Show 22 Stubs
  • Each player who completes the minimum number of games (6) will receive 11,000 Stubs, whether they win or lose.

The grand finale will take place from June 18 to 19. Day one will feature a knockout bracket format with the top 64 players from the four Open Qualifiers.

On day two, watch the final four competitors perform on the San Diego Studio Twitch channel with 1st place winning $15,000!

  • 4th place: $2,000

The top 3 players will also win a signed Shohei Ohtani baseball jersey and kit, a gift voucher for the MLB store, and an authentic baseball used in the MLB 2022 Home Run Derby.

Tournament Tips

When warming up for competition, be sure to practice hitting and throwing on the Legend difficulty set for your tournament. Once you start doing this, you’re well on your way to a better day’s play:

  • Supercharged is the latest boost in MLB The Show 22. If a real player has a fantastic game, there’s a chance their card will become Supercharged in MLB The Show 22***, boosting their stats exponentially for 48 hours! Supercharged players can add the edge your team needs to reach the top.
  • Hand-eye coordination is essential in tournaments. In the improved “practice mode” you can not only head to batting practice, but also now you can practice pitching and basic running, allowing for even more preparation.
  • Ranked Seasons can be a great training environment to play competitively with your Diamond Dynasty*** team. Also, as you climb the ranks, you unlock more rewards to use.
