And he finally started to figure things out, finding his feet in the NBA. But things changed faster than expected.

Kris Humphries opens up

Humphries wrote, “And then I met a girl who happened to be really famous, and I got married, and…. Doom. Look, I should have known what I was getting myself into. I was definitely naive how my life was going to change, but the only thing that really bothers me is every time people say my marriage was fake.

The NBA veteran admitted he was naive, however, he said their relationship was 100% real. He also said it was difficult when he found out the marriage wouldn’t work out. Humphries said it was embarrassing to experience something like this. Especially when it was public because of their popularity. He said, “But when it’s played out so publicly, in front of the world, it’s a whole other level. It was brutal.”

Humphries and Kim Kardashian started dating in 2010. The couple then got engaged in May 2011 and later married in August 2011. However, the marriage was very short-lived. Just after 72 days of marriage, Kim Kardashian shockingly filed for divorce.
